VOICEMAIL VIA MMS

What is Voicemail via MMS?

Voicemail via MMS allows you to receive your voicemails as audio files via MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service). Instead of calling into your mailbox, you can play the audio file directly from your messages to hear a voicemail.

Voicemail via MMS is included in all current Virgin Plus smartphone rate plans. There are no changes to the way you manage your mailbox (e.g. deleting messages, changing personal greeting, etc.), and you can still call into your mailbox to listen to your messages if you prefer.

Eligibility for Voicemail via MMS

All Virgin Plus Members with Voicemail are eligible for this enhancement and will be automatically opted-in, with the exception of Members who have the Voicemail to Text and/or Visual Voicemail add-ons. These Members can manually opt in to Voicemail via MMS by texting “START” to 44625.

Heads up: to receive voicemails via MMS, your smartphone must be connected to the Virgin Plus network, have cellular data turned on and be able to receive MMS messages. There’s no charge for data used for Voicemail via MMS

  • How do I opt in/out?

    To opt out of this service, text “STOP” to 44625.
    To opt in to this service, text “START” to 44625.

  • Is there a charge for this service?

    No, this service is an enhancement to the Voicemail feature, which is included in all current Virgin Plus smartphone rate plans.

  • How do I delete voicemails?

    You need to call into your mailbox to delete voicemails. Deleting the MMS audio files from your text messages will only remove them from using storage space on your device.

  • Do the MMS audio files use phone storage?

    Yes, the MMS audio files will use minimal storage space on your device. You can delete these files at any time. However, to delete the actual voicemail, you need to call into your mailbox.
